BRAGBeloit Regional Alumni Group events bring alumni together for fun, cultural, and educational activities. Plan a BRAG in your area!

"I strongly recommend hosting a Beloit alumni event. It doesn't have to be a huge undertaking. Several weeks ago twenty people - only two whom I had ever met before - spent a few hours at my house getting to know one another over drinks and a bit of food. The event reminded me that being a Beloit alum is not so much reconnecting to a particular Beloit class or group of friends, but rather it is reconnecting with what makes Beloit so special - people - regardless of when you went there." -- Kate Judge'83

DC BRAG: Join us for a Grand Slam event!
Please join us for an evening of food, friends, and fun at one of major league baseball's finest venues, Baltimore's Camden Yards, as the Orioles take on the Detroit Tigers. We've reserved part of the bullpen area, located behind both of the bullpens in left field, for our group. This area opens 90 minutes prior to the game and is a great place to mingle amongst ourselves and, once in a while, some of the ballplayers. We've also reserved a block of Upper Reserved seats for our group once the game begins.

If you've never been to the stadium, it's worth the short trip. And if you've never spent any time in Baltimore, think about making a day of it and visiting some of the numerous attractions at the world-famous Inner Harbor before making the short walk over to the stadium!

The ticket price includes the pre-game experience in the Oriole Park bullpen picnic area* and your ticket to the game.

Saturday, July 19, 2008
5:30 p.m. Pre-game picnic in the bullpen
7:05 p.m. Orioles vs. Detroit Tigers

Only $35.00 per person!

Your Hosts for the evening are:
Pete Cline'99, BA History; Football, Sigma Chi Fraternity
After graduating from Beloit, I moved back to my native Baltimore, MD and followed in my father's footsteps by joining the local advertising community. During that period, I was a print production manager for two of the larger agencies in town, but have now decided to use my skills to aid fundraising campaigns for non-profit companies as an employee of Creative Direct Response Fundraising Group (CDRFG) in Bowie, MD. I am a sports enthusiast, playing softball in the summers and bowling in the winters, and am a die-hard fan of all the local teams (Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, and The University of Maryland). My wife, Loree (UMBC, '02), and I currently reside in Catonsville, MD.

Sarah Hinshaw'00, BA Sociology; Women's Soccer, Alpha Sigma Tau
Upon graduation I moved back to my hometown of Westfield, Indiana and became a teacher. I moved to Fort Worth, TX the following year to pursue a masters degree in Education Administration and stayed for three years.  I moved to Michigan for one year and then continued on to Virginia where I have lived for the last three years. I teach in Fairfax County and play soccer a couple of seasons a year. I live in Springfield, Va and am active in the local alumnae chapter of AST with other Beloit AST grads.

*Bullpen picnic includes one Bourbon Barbecue beef brisket sandwich on a Kaiser roll, one grilled kosher hot dog on a bakery fresh bun, farfalle pasta salad with mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, grilled red onions, and parmesan garlic dressing, Oriole Park popcorn, fresh-sliced watermelon, draft beer, and soda.
